Abigail Marie Clancy Bio
Abigail Marie Clancy, born 10 January, 1986 is an English lingerie model as well as catwalk model. In 2006, she finished second in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also took home the series 11 and 12 on Strictly Come Dancing 2013. Since 2015, she has been presenting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second-oldest child of four siblings: Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton in a suburb near Liverpool. She was a student at St Mary's Catholic Primary School as well as St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy was the founder of the girl group Genie Queen, who were managed by Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Clancy was chosen as one of the thirteen finalists to the second season of Living Television's Britain's Next Top Model. She was competing for a 10 week modeling contract. Clancy made it to the final runway show alongside fellow contestant Lianna Fowler, and was the runnerup. Clancy was included on Britain's Next Top Model and has since modelled for several publications and newspapers. Clancy was the model of the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike on the May 2007 cover of Arena magazine. Clancy was chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was featured for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch and was photographed for the magazine wearing just body paint to make it appear as if she was sporting an England shirt, photographed by Yu Tsai. Clancy was included in Umbro's campaign for 2010. She was wearing an England shirt and was joined by women of the winning teams. Clancy walked the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July 2013, Clancy walked in the campaign of London designer Hasan Hejazi. The campaign featured an editorial styled by Absynth and a fashion film directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was featured in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. In July 2014, Clancy appeared on the cover of British Marie Claire and in March 2015, she was featured in British Elle. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch, her daughter worked together with Lipsy (a London-based fashion label) to launch the AW'19 collection. The collection was began to be launched in the UAE in January 2020.
