Abigale Lee Miller bio

Abigale Lee Miller(born on 21st September 1965) is an American choreographer, dance instructor and a reality television star. Abby Lee Dance Company was founded by her. It aired on eight seasons of Dance Moms. On June 27, 2016, Miller pleaded guilty to fraudulent bankruptcy in felony. She was sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison and was released on the 27th of March of 2018. In April of 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma. an aggressive form of cancer that rendered her ineligible to walk. She uses a wheelchair for mobility. Miller was raised around dance in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, a Pittsburgh suburb. She studied under the direction of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. In 1980, at age 14, Miller was assigned the task to choreograph and coach one of the teams that her mother was directing for dance competition. Miller eventually took over the studio in the year 1995 and named the company Reign Dance Productions. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America in 1986, and became an associate member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's membership was terminated by the DMA in February 2012 when the DMA declared that Miller's reality TV series Dance Moms was "a complete mistake in the representation of teachers and students of dance and was detrimental to the profession of dance."
